Shutterfly Give away....no way!!!!!

Receiving Christmas cards in the mail just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And it really begins the Christmas season for me. I love catching up with all of my friends and family and seeing their beautiful families grow, bigger and older:)
This year I had everything planned to have our pictures taken on the Texas Tech campus and we were all going to wear red and black...cute right?
Well the weather and our timing never seemed to line up. So, instead I have hired a friend from my moms group to take them this Sunday...I just can't wait.

So...this is why this amazing give away from Shutterfly has come at just the right time.....
I heard about this promotion and just couldn't pass it up. Go here to find out more.....

I could spend hours looking at their site. They offer holiday cards, photo Christmas cards, calendars, which I think are so cute, and birthday invitations, which I am sure I will be using very soon since someone very special will be turning one soon......

I am not sure which one I will choose, but I do know it will have to say Merry Christmas somewhere on it...those are my very favorite and Shutterfly has tons to choose from.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!

Christmas decorations

I loved coming home from our mini vacation to a house already decorated.
I was very hesitant on decorating so early, but I sure am glad I did.

This is our dinning room table

Our mantle

And our tree

hope you all have a very merry christmas

Thanksgiving 2010

Wednesday morning we headed out to Lubbock to spend Thanksgiving with Corey's parents who had never met Madeline.

Here is the crew on the road.

Corey's daddy, peepaw, is in a rehab hospital so our first stop was to go there and see him.
Madeline was so eager to just take it all in. She was studying peepaw's face so hard.

For Thanksgiving we made a reservation at a really nice hotel for their buffet. It was so nice not to have to cook or clean up afterwards. This may become a new tradition:)
Yeh-Yeh and Hannah

Such a sweet picture

I love this one

We were only there for 2 days...way too short.
Here we are all loaded up and ready to get home.
First, all smiles.....

Then pure agony...she was sooooo upset to be in that seat.
Needless to say it was a tough ride home.

hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving....love to you all.

I could do this all day

What I mean by that is....
taking pictures of this sweet baby.

Enjoy the pictures of the happiest part of my days.

love this girl

Madeline and Daddy

Madeline is crazy about her Daddy, so while I was trying to get the house decorated for Christmas, they got some quality time together.
And obviously I did not get much done because I was too busy trying to document their every moment together.

Watching football, you can tell she was not that in to it:)

Much too busy looking at Momma...sorry Daddy.

I just love watching the sweet bond that they have together.

lesson learned

For Madeline's Baptism I was given a very beautiful minky/satin blanket that she now LOVES!
As I inspected it, I thought to myself. "I can make this"! And for probably a lot cheaper than my sweet friend paid for it. Well I was right...I could and did make it for much cheaper. It only took me 3 attempts and one plea of help to the blog world...(I love the blog world)....and I finally figured it out. Who knew that minky and satin were nearly impossible to sew together..not me:)
Here is my 4th attempt after I learned you had to use A LOT, (like 75ish), pins to hold it together.

Once I started I couldn't stop. Mary, my friend, asked me to make her 4...so, I just kept pinning and sewing and pinning and sewing until I was finished!!!!

And here they are all tied up and ready to be delivered.

I am so happy that she gave me the opportunity to do this, I really did learn soooo much!!!!

7 months

Madeline, you are 7 months old today...YIKES!!!!

You are so sweet. You love when someone, anyone looks at you and smiles...you smile right back.

Here's what you have been up to......

you weigh right around 15 pounds
you wear anywhere from 3mth-12mth clothes
you are still very long and skinny
you love to talk...your voice is super sweet
your entire face lights up when you see your sister or your daddy...it melts my heart
you flip over every time I lay you on your back
you are also pushing way up on your hands and trying with all of your might to pull those knees underneath you....take your time little girl
you are starting to sleep better, you still wake up at night, but we are letting you cry it out...it is HARD, but I know it has to be done. I am hoping it won't take too many more nights for you to figure it out.

we love you more than words can describe......
love, mommy

dinner with friends

I was so excited last Friday to get to go to dinner with two great girls that I taught with last year.
We went to Glorias for some yummy food and drinks.
We didn't meet until 8pm and I thought I was sooo cool going out that late....so lame, I know.
But seriously, theses days I'm in bed by 8 so this was way late for me. And to show you really how cool I am...I didn't even get home until 11pm...stop it, I know!!!!

So glad we got together sweet Helen and Keri.....miss you both.

FUGGS???

Yep, that what I said...fuggs.
Fake Uggs:) My little baby is big enough to wear her fake uggs and boy does she look cute.

I debating, for about a second, on buying her real ones, but decided that these would do just fine.

hope you all are having a great week.
