church and aching gums

This morning we got up bright and early to make it to church. It has been so beautiful outside that I was able to put one of my favorite dresses on Madeline. She looked so darn sweet that I sat her down in the grass at church to snap a few pictures.

She was much more interested in the kids playing next to her.

And this afternoon we have been very heavy handed with the baby orajel. Her teethe are coming in all at once it seems....

The only thing that makes her happy is her praise baby video....life saver.. and her lamb.

I hope this passes soon.

9 months old

Madeline, you are 9 months old today!

Here's what you have been up to.....

• you weigh 15 pounds and the only reason I know this is because I had to take you to the dr. twice the past 2 weeks because you were sick:(
• you had your first dose of amoxicillin and you did NOT like it, but you took it like a champ
• you are wearing size 3 diapers
• you are still very long and very skinny
• you love to eat!!!..I would venture to say 10-12 ounces a day(of real food)
• you are sleeping better and better, but not through the night yet
• you got your first tooth and I am pretty sure #2 is coming right along
• you "bit me" for the first time with that little tooth today:(
• you are not crawling yet..and I say "yet" because I'm sure it is going to happen any day now

uh oh..you found the sign.....

• you still show no signs of separation or stranger anxiety...you love and smile at everyone

Tonight, daddy and I sat on the sofa and giggled so hard as we watched you roll all around the floor trying to get your toys. You talked and smiled as we both just laughed at you. You are the best entertainment around..and your free....well kinda:)

We love you so, so much sweet girl.

Happy 42nd birthday Sweetie

Sunday we went to Mom and Dad's to celebrate Corey's birthday.

Hannah thought it would be funny to switch the candles:)

Then last night Hannah and I took him to Maggianos to have his birthday dinner. Madeline stayed home with Aunt Camille.

We had a really nice time.

my baby is sick and has her 1st tooth

Today is day 12 of Madeline's cold and I am REALLY ready for it to be finished.
It's kinda cold in our house so I always have her really bundled up.

I think she was kinda over me taking her picture when she wasn't feeling so good.

Oh....and on top of her cold she got her first tooth this week!!! It's so cute and tiny and I love watching her rub her tongue over it wondering...what the heck is this thing???

Get better my sweet girl.

Happy New Year

I think we have started a new tradition at our house.
Corey and I decided to stay home and make a yummy dinner.
We even got dressed up to make it feel more special...I say dressed up and what I really mean is get out of our sweats that we had been in all day:)

Here he is grilling our steaks

the menu:
tomato and mozzarella stacks with a balsamic reduction...yummy
steak and shrimp
roasted asparagus
and homemade chocolate bread pudding with ganache

It really felt like we were in a very fancy restaurant in our own private room

I was trying desperatly to get a picture if us....this was the best of the 9 we took..it made for a lot of laughing....
can you tell Corey was soooo over it

It was such a fun night and a wonderful way to ring in the new year safe in our home with Madeline safe and warm in her bed.
