day with daddy

Yesterday I substituted at my old school. My sister was unable to watch Madeline so.....
Daddy had a day with his girl.
I was so excited that he was going to get to see how "hard" it can be to be at home with her all day...entertain her, feed her...all of it.
Of course, she was nothing short of perfect for him. She ate, played and slept like clock work.
Such a good girl.

I am so grateful for a wonderful husband and a loving daddy!!!

Madeline's 2nd Easter was just perfect!!!
I was able to make her her Easter basket that I hope she has for ever...The Easter Bunny filled it with things she needed..like a tooth brush and tooth paste:) I think she appreciated it!

This Easter was extra special this year.
Corey and Hannah were both baptized, confirmed and received their First Communion at the Easter Vigil.
It was such a beautiful service. Camille was Hannah's Godmother and I know it meant so much to her and me. Mary Madeline and her family were also there...thank you all for sharing this day with us!

She loves it, but looks too big for momma...she is growing up way too fast.

I have been trying so hard to get piggys in Madeline's hair. I finally did, but she was not having it when I tried to take her picture.

1st birthday

Today I had such a sweet day just enjoying every moment of this day.
She is ONE!!! I am so happy and so sad at the same time. She is the loveliest little girl, but I already miss my little, bitty baby.
I tried to take as many pictures as I could to remember this wonderful day.

12 months old

My Dearest Madeline,
As a little girl all I ever wanted was to be a mommy andI was given that opportunity one year ago.
My life was forever changed when you entered it, only for the better.
You are a spirited and joyful little girl. You light up a room and I am constantly told what a happy baby you are. I had to think long and hard about this, but I realized that I have never left the house with you to go anywhere where you were the least bit upset...you just don't cry. I mean unless you are hungry or tired. When I tell you "no-no" you just shrug it off and move on..no tears. I don't know what I did to deserve you.

Here's what you have been up this month:

• I completely weaned you right at 11 1/2 months and now you LOVE your whole milk...possibly too much
• you started pulling up on everything
• you sleep the ENTIRE night....thank you God!!!
• right now you are taking 2 naps a day, but I think that your morning one is slowly going away:(
• you weigh about 20 pounds, not sure of your exact length...we go to the dr. next week
• size 3 diapers
• your only words are "da-da" and "bay-be"

You are a gift from God and I cherish every moment every single day that I have with you. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love you sooooooo much!!!
Thank you for being the best daughter I could have ever asked for!

Madeline's grandparents, Yeh-Yeh and PeePaw sent her the very best present...EVER!
A ball pit! We got it yesterday and from the moment we blew it up Madeline was all over it. We had to drag her out of it to go to bed. Her Aunt Tiffany gave her the balls.
