Dr. update

I did go to the dr. on Wednesday. I am NOT dilated at all and to make matters worse he said she is high up there. I have a funny feeling I will be carrying this little princess till my due date if not beyond.

Look, it's not that I want to rush her it's just that I really want to have her in my arms. And for everyone who tells me she less trouble inside of me than outside, I say to heck with you. I want her and all the "trouble" she is gonna bring. I 'm sure I will be complaining about the sleepless nights once she gets here and hopefully yall won't mind. But, as of now I just want her in my arms where I can kiss and squeeze and smell every little inch of her. I just didn't know it was possible to be so in love with someone you have never even met.

Anyway, so the dr. was a little concerned about a rapid heartbeat that I have been experiencing. He had me go to a cardiologist and get fitted with a Holter monitor. I know....what the heck is that?? I still really don't know, but they had me hooked up with 5 sticky things on my chest and around my heart and a little box that I had to wear on my pants that monitored my heartbeats....I am assuming. I had to wear it 24hrs and was not allowed to shower....ewwww. If you know me that is a hard one, but I did it. I also took the day off of work so my 9 five year olds were not tempted to yank it off. I am assuming I will get results either today or next week sometime. I'll let ya know when I do.

That's all for now.

36 Weeks......

And feeling....well, kinda crummy. So far this pregnancy has been pretty great. No complaints, but as of yesterday I feel horrible. My back and legs hurt and I feel just plain 'ol run down. My next appointment is this Friday, but I called in today and they are letting me come in at 1:30..thank goodness.

I also forgot to post about our little scare. On Saturday night I could not get Madeline to move. I tried everything and I mean everything and she would not budge. I know they say that as she gets bigger they move less. Well, this is just not the case for her. She is constantly in motion and still is. So when she would not move the other night I called the dr. Of course she told us to go to L&D immediately. I was scared, but we headed that direction. Of course as soon as they hooked me up to the monitor she began trying to kick it off. I think she may be a bit hard headed like her daddy....of course:)

Also, here are a few 36 week pictures......

It's Finished!!!!

The Nursery is finally finished and I am so excited to share the pictures with all of you.

From the entrance to the nursery.....
I decided to lengthen the curtains so I added a little trim to the bottom. And I found some pretty brown lamp shade covers for the chandelier and added some magnetic crystals to jazz it up. I really like how it turned out. And if I didn't share before, I found the chandelier on clearance at Lowes for a mere $17....oh yeah, that's right! I love a great deal.

I love this sweet frame that Christi's mom and friends gave me. I can't wait to put a picture of my girl in it.

Another picture of the chair that I have already spent many hours in reading to her.

This beautiful plaque was given to me by my wonderful mother-in-law. It makes me cry every time I read it.

We finally got the mattress for the crib. And I still have not decided if I am going to add ribbon to the letters...any thoughts out there?

I absolutely love the changing table and how it turned out.

And finally...here is the closet that I spent many hours on.

I painted the baskets and added some ribbon around the top.

I made her a ribbon holder out of a sweet little "M" that my sister, Mary Madeline, made for my shower. It is so sweet and I think of her every time I look at it.
That's it!!! It's all done and just awaiting our perfect little miracle. Thanks for taking a look.

This and That

It is Spring Break and I have a lot planned.

Here is a sneak peak.......

This is Madeline's closet that desperately needs to be organized. I am in the process of painting some baskets for the shelves. I'll post pics as soon as I get it finished:)

We finally got the pack-n-play and I think it is just precious. It looks so sweet in our bedroom. I just can't wait to put her in it.

As soon as we decided on her name I ordered this dress from this precious blog.
They were so wonderful and patient in helping me decide on fabric and font choices. It was a big decision because I just wanted it to be perfect. I love the way it turned out.
And finally, here is the sweet little outfit that I picked out to bring our little miracle baby home in.

I am definitely in the "nesting" mode. I I love finding perfect places for everything. It's kinda my thing to organize. It just makes me happy.
I had my 35 wk checkup today and everything is just fine. She is measuring right at 5 pounds and is already head down. I do not think I can wait 5 MORE weeks to meet her. I am so desperate to see her little face.

School Shower

I am so blessed to be a part of a great Kinder team at my school. They were so sweet to throw me such a lovely shower this past Wednesday. I loved that Mom, Dad, Camille, Julianna and Hannah were all able to be there. It was very special.

All the wonderful presents...so sweet.

Can you stand these cupcakes...Helen made these from scratch and they were delicious.

Joy and Sulisa, my assistants, had all of my kids sign the inside of this book. They all presented it to me before the shower....I cried so hard.
Thank you all for such an awesome shower.

Special girl

I am such a proud step-mom!!!
H's teacher entered a poem she had written in a poetry contest, and......she won!!!!
Today we took her to McKinney where all of the winners were able to read their poem in front of about 300 people. Her brilliance continues to blow me away. Here is our beautiful girl......
You can tell how excited she was:)

Her proud Daddy

Divine Consign

Camille and I geared up Saturday night for the much anticipated Divine Consign. I was not sure what to expect, but ill just say it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Because I am a first time mom I was able to go the night before it opened to the public. In my mind I imagined a bunch of pregnant women fighting to find the best deals. Doors did not open till 7pm so Camille and I headed to Taco Cabana to fuel up. Around 5:40 we headed over to get in the long line. I guess we were really excited because we were the very first ones there. As we were waiting a very sweet girl came over and gave us her bracelet which allowed us in right then with the volunteers...we were so excited!!!!
I had made out a list of what I really wanted to find. Well, I feel like we hit the lotto. I was able to find a snap-n-go, swing, extra car seat base and some really adorable clothes and shoes. All for under $200. I think we did really well and we had fun. I did not even have to knock anyone over:)
Thanks Camille, it really was fun.
